Privacy Policy

Thank you for using ProGain. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Data We Collect
a. Data Entered in the App
ProGain stores meal logs, protein goals, body weight, and water intake locally on your device only. This data is never sent to our servers.
b. Food Photos
When you use the AI scanning feature, your photo is securely transmitted to our servers for protein and calorie analysis. The photo is deleted immediately after analysis is complete and is never stored in any database.
c. Analytics Data
Anonymous usage statistics are collected via Firebase Analytics to help us improve the app (e.g. which features are used, app launch count). This data cannot be linked back to you directly.
d. Purchase Information
Subscription transactions are handled entirely by the Apple App Store. We have no access to your credit card or payment details. RevenueCat uses an anonymous user ID solely to verify subscription status.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide the AI food analysis service
- Verify subscription status
- Detect and fix app bugs
- Analyze usage statistics to develop new features
We never sell or share your data for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
ProGain uses the following third-party services:

4. Apple Health
If you enable the Apple Health integration, ProGain writes the protein values from your logged meals to the Apple Health app. This permission is optional and can be revoked at any time via iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access. ProGain does not read any data from Apple Health.
5. Children's Privacy
ProGain is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware of such a situation, we will delete the relevant data immediately.
6. Data Security
All server communication is encrypted via HTTPS. Local data is protected by iOS's built-in security mechanisms. Photos are deleted from our servers after analysis.
7. Your Rights
Deleting the app removes all locally stored data from your device. To request deletion of your analytics data, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced via an in-app notification. The current policy is always available on this page.
